Normanby Park Trip 2018

The children thoroughly enjoyed our school trip to Normanby park. We did lots of exciting activities linking to our current topic of 'Enchanted Forest'.

We went pond dipping with a lady called Lois and found lots of interesting insects such as; Larva, Water Beetles and Pond Skaters.

We also met Verity who talked to us about a variety of trees at Normanby park. We identified a range of trees such as; Horse Chestnut, Beech, Sycamore and Silver Birch. We looked closely at the different leaves on the trees and also did some measuring. We were able to explain to Verity the difference between Deciduous trees and Evergreen trees. The children loved collecting lots of natural resources from Normanby Park.
