Safeguarding and Child Protection

Winterton C of E Infants' School fully recognises its responsibilities for safeguarding and promoting the health and well-being of all the children in it's care.  Our designated safeguarding lead for the school is Mrs R Lewis(Headteacher) and the deputy designated lead for the school is Mrs S Walton (Deputy Headteacher).  All governors are fully committed to  ensuring that safeguarding is taken extremely seriously by everyone at the school.  Mrs C Barkley as chair of governors and Mrs D Goodhand as chair of Premises and Safeguarding committee take the lead on ensuring that practice and procedures are regularly monitored and reviewed by the relevant committee.

Our Child Protection Policy is available on our website and where a paper copy is preferable please contact our school office to request one..  The Child Protection Co-ordinator for our school is Mrs Rachel Lewis and can be contacted in relation to child protection issues on 01724 732386 or in person within the school, in the absence of Mrs Lewis our Deputy Child Protection Co-ordinator is Mrs Suzanne Walton.
